About Us
The Southeast Wisconsin Carpentry Training Center / North Central States Regional Council of Carpenters provides the necessary training for enterprising men and women to begin a career in the well paying occupations of carpentry, cabinet making, millwrighting, floor covering, interior systems, and pile driving. This committee is a partnership of unionized building contractors and the North Central States Regional Council of Carpenters.
The necessity of apprenticeship is well documented as less than 15% of tradesmen are apprentice trained. There is no substitute for on-the-job training received as an apprentice working beside an experienced journeyman.
These trades require proficiency, knowledge and hands-on involvement. In depth classroom instruction from skilled professionals using up to date training materials assures the techniques aid productivity, however, they do not replace the tradesman's seasoned judgment and highly developed craft skills.
